Acceptable use

Acceptable Use Policy

Effective 24 October 2026

This Policy sets out what a store, its materials and its assistant may not be used for on Leptex, how anyone can report a store, and what we do when one breaks these rules. It forms part of the Terms of Service.

1. Who this Policy applies to

This Policy applies to every merchant, and to every person acting for a merchant, who uses Leptex to publish a store page, send a link, or have an assistant answer on its behalf. It applies to your store, your materials, and what your assistant says and does for you.

This Policy is part of the Terms of Service. Words defined in the Terms have the same meaning here. If this Policy and the Terms conflict on what is prohibited, the stricter rule applies.

You are responsible for knowing and following the laws that apply to your business, your goods and services, and your customers, in every place you sell. Something this Policy does not list may still be unlawful, and you may not offer it.

2. Goods and services you may not offer

You may not use Leptex to offer, promote, sell, or arrange the sale of any of the following:

Illegal drugs and controlled substances, including substances designed to imitate them, kratom extracts and 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH), intoxicating hemp-derived products, research chemicals sold for human consumption, and equipment made or marketed for producing or consuming them, such as pill presses.

Prescription medicines, medical devices and other regulated health products, unless you hold every licence the law requires and sell only where and to whom the law allows.

Firearms, ammunition, explosives and other weapons, their parts and accessories, and instructions or files for making them.

Stolen goods, counterfeit goods, and goods or services that infringe another person's copyright, trade mark, patent, trade secret, or right of publicity or privacy.

Anything that sexually exploits or endangers children. We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other competent authorities as the law requires.

Human trafficking, forced labour, and sexual services.

Forged or fraudulently obtained documents, including identity documents, licences, certificates, academic credentials and reviews.

Tools and services for unauthorised access to accounts, devices, networks or data, including malware, stolen credentials and stolen payment data.

Fraudulent or deceptive schemes, including pyramid and Ponzi schemes, fake investment opportunities, and offers you do not intend or are not able to fulfil.

Gambling, lotteries, securities, lending, money transmission and other regulated financial activity, unless you hold every licence the law requires.

Tobacco, nicotine, vaping and cannabis products, and alcohol wherever its sale is unlawful or without the licences and age checks the law requires.

Hazardous materials, recalled products, and protected wildlife or products made from it.

Goods or services whose sale is unlawful where you are established, where your customer is located, or in the State of Washington, United States.

3. Conduct that is not allowed

You may not use Leptex, your store, your materials or your assistant to:

Deceive. Make false or misleading statements about who you are, what you sell, its price, its origin, its safety, or its availability; impersonate another person or business; present AI-generated output as written solely by a person in order to deceive; or present an AI reply as a commitment personally confirmed by a human when it was not.

Fake reviews. Write or publish fake reviews or testimonials, or hide a reviewer's material connection to you.

Threaten or harm. Threaten, harass, defame or incite violence against any person, or promote hatred of people because of who they are.

Misuse personal data. Collect, use or disclose a customer's personal data without a lawful basis, beyond what you told the customer, or for a purpose unrelated to serving that customer.

Target minors. Operate a store, a page or an assistant that is directed at, or likely to be accessed by, people under 18; offer goods or services to children where the law requires a parent's consent or forbids the offer; or collect a child's personal data unlawfully.

Send unsolicited messages. Use contact details gathered through Leptex to send bulk or unsolicited marketing the recipient has not agreed to receive.

Interfere with the Service. Attempt to bypass limits, allowances or tenant isolation; probe, scan or test the Service without our written consent; introduce malicious code; or use the Service to attack another system.

Evade enforcement. Open or use another account to continue an activity for which an account was suspended or a store was closed.

4. Regulated and professional services

If the law requires a licence, registration or professional qualification for what you offer, you must hold it for as long as you offer it, and offer it only where it is valid.

A store offering legal, medical, financial, tax or similar professional services may use its assistant to describe the services, fees, availability and how to engage you. You may not use the assistant to give individual professional advice, a diagnosis, or an opinion on a person's specific circumstances. That advice must come from a qualified person.

You may not use the assistant for clinical purposes or as a substitute for professional medical advice; scheduling, administrative and other non-clinical tasks are allowed.

You must give your customers every notice, disclosure and document the law requires of a business like yours, including your own privacy notice and terms of sale where required.

5. Your materials and your assistant

Your assistant answers from the materials and instructions you provide. You are responsible for them, and for the replies your assistant gives on your behalf.

You may not provide materials or instructions intended to make the assistant break this Policy, conceal that it is an AI, or make promises you have not authorised.

You may not remove or obscure the notice that tells your customers they are talking to an AI assistant.

You may not use the assistant to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on a person, such as decisions about credit, employment, housing or insurance, without meaningful human review.

6. Reporting a store

Anyone may report a store, a page or a reply that appears to break this Policy or the law by email to support@leptex.com with the subject “Content report”, as explained at leptex.com/legal/report.

A useful report identifies the page address, what is wrong with it, and how we can reach you. A report of infringement should also identify the right concerned and your authority to act for its owner.

Do not submit a report you know to be false.

7. What we do about a breach

We may review stores, their materials and their use of the assistant before and after publication, using automated tools and people, but we have no general obligation to monitor them. We may keep a store out of business search and the Leptex apps until we have reviewed it. We also act on reports, on lawful requests from authorities, and on what comes to our attention.

When we reasonably believe a store, its materials or its use of the assistant breaks this Policy, the Terms or the law, we may, as the circumstances require: ask you for information; ask you to remove particular material; disable or remove a page or a link; suspend the accounts involved; and close the store's workspace. Closing a workspace takes the store offline and starts the deletion period in the Data Processing Agreement; we may reopen it within that period.

We may act without prior notice where delay could cause harm, where the law requires it, or where notice would defeat the purpose of acting. Otherwise we will tell you what we did and why, unless the law prevents us.

When we suspend a store because we suspect fraud or illegal activity, we may stop new orders, cancel payment authorisations that have not yet been captured, and notify the payment provider and the store's recent customers so they can protect themselves.

We keep a record of the reports we receive and the action we take. We may preserve relevant information and disclose it to law enforcement or a court where the law requires or permits.

Fees already paid are not refunded where accounts are suspended or a store's workspace is closed for breaking this Policy, except where the law requires otherwise.

8. Asking us to reconsider

If you believe we acted in error, write to support@leptex.com with the subject “Reconsideration” within thirty days, explain why, and include any supporting documents such as a licence. We will review the request and reply.

We may restore a store once the cause is removed and we are satisfied it will not recur. We are not required to restore a store closed for a serious or repeated breach.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the law, the Service or the risks change. The current version is published on this page with its date. A material change takes effect as the Terms of Service provide.

Continuing to use Leptex after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Policy.

10. Copyright complaints

Leptex responds to notices of claimed copyright infringement under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). If you believe that material on a store or page hosted by Leptex infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent.

Designated agent: Copyright Agent, Lianda Labs LLC, Bellevue, WA 98007, United States. Email: copyright@leptex.com.

A notice must include: your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorised to act for the copyright owner; identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed; identification of the material you say infringes it and the address of the page where it appears; your name, postal address, telephone number and email address; a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner.

When we receive a notice that meets these requirements, we promptly remove the material or disable access to it, if necessary by disabling the page or link on which it appears, and we tell the merchant who posted it.

Counter-notice. A merchant who believes material was removed by mistake or misidentification may send our agent a counter-notice. It must include: the merchant's physical or electronic signature; identification of the material removed and the address where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that the merchant believes in good faith that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; the merchant's name, postal address and telephone number; and a statement that the merchant consents to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district of that address, or, for an address outside the United States, of any judicial district in which Leptex may be found, and will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice. We send the counter-notice to that person and, between 10 and 14 business days later, re-enable the page or link we disabled or allow the merchant to restore the material, unless that person tells us first that it has filed a court action to restrain the merchant.

Repeat infringers. In appropriate circumstances we terminate the accounts of merchants who infringe repeatedly.

A person who knowingly misrepresents that material infringes, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages under the law.

This Policy is published in English and Chinese. Where the two differ, the English version governs, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
