About Leptex

Leptex builds personal intelligence for farmers and independent businesses, helping them connect products with buyers while keeping people in control of their information and decisions.

About the role

Find product and buyer opportunities, connect resources, and sell merchant-approved agricultural goods through Leptex. This is a full-time, on-site role in the United States, involving work at farms, supplier locations, and buyer sites as needed.

Compensation: Cash compensation and any variable-pay arrangements have not yet been determined. Compensation, any applicable benefits, and any commission or bonus terms will be agreed in writing before work begins.

What you'll do

  • Find opportunities: Identify potential farms, available produce, and channel contacts for the founder or business development colleagues to assess.
  • Learn the products: Keep product descriptions, quantities, prices, and buying conditions aligned with merchant-confirmed information.
  • Reach buyers: Introduce suitable products through approved channels, local contacts, communities, and referrals.
  • Understand demand: Ask buyers about the goods, quantities, timing, and collection or delivery arrangements they need.
  • Explain the offer: Present approved terms clearly and check uncertain details before making a promise.
  • Help buyers order: Use Leptex and the merchant's agreed process to move genuine interest toward a confirmed purchase.
  • Coordinate fulfillment: Confirm order details and pass the merchant the information needed for collection or delivery.
  • Follow up: Escalate quality, timing, cancellation, or refund issues to the person responsible for resolving them.
  • Encourage repeat purchases: Follow up with permission on relevant offers and learn from buyers' feedback.
  • Use AI and records: Prepare materials and organize sales records with AI while verifying facts and protecting private information.

What we're looking for

  • Learning ability: You quickly learn unfamiliar products, buyer needs, and sales tools.
  • Initiative: You are willing to find leads, meet people, and ask for a clear next step.
  • Listening: You understand what a buyer needs and recognize when an offer is unsuitable.
  • Clear communication: You can explain products, prices, and next steps in straightforward English.
  • Sales ability: You can answer questions, address concerns, and help people make informed purchases.
  • Resource judgment: You notice potential supply or channel opportunities and know when to seek verification.
  • Follow-through: You keep accurate notes, coordinate with merchants, and complete agreed follow-up.
  • AI tool fluency: You use AI to draft and organize work and check its output yourself.
  • Trustworthiness: You respect privacy, contact preferences, and the merchant's authority over prices and commitments.
  • Evidence of ability: No particular degree or minimum years of experience are required; relevant projects or customer-facing work can show your ability.

How we measure success

Sales: Buyers completing a first purchase, paid and fulfilled orders, and net product sales after refunds.

Fulfillment: On-time fulfillment, cancellation, and refund rates.

Repeat purchases: Repeat buyers and repeat-purchase rates.
