About Leptex

Leptex builds personal intelligence for farmers and independent businesses, helping them connect products with buyers while keeping people in control of their information and decisions.

About the role

Lead day-to-day sourcing and sales, coach colleagues, and help farms sell produce through Leptex. This is a full-time, on-site role in the United States, working with the founder and visiting suppliers and buyers as needed.

Compensation: Cash compensation and any variable-pay arrangements have not yet been determined. Compensation, any applicable benefits, and any commission or bonus terms will be agreed in writing before work begins.

What you'll do

  • Plan the work: Turn agreed priorities into clear responsibilities for supplier development, buyer outreach, and sales.
  • Check cooperation terms: Help colleagues confirm products, quantities, prices, permissions, and fulfillment responsibilities.
  • Develop business: Personally connect suitable suppliers and buyers and advance promising opportunities.
  • Coach the team: Help colleagues improve sourcing, partnership discussions, product explanations, and follow-up.
  • Support hiring: Help recruit and train salespeople as the team grows.
  • Keep clear records: Track supplier opportunities, approved offers, orders, next steps, and responsibilities.
  • Support platform sales: Help the team prepare accurate product information and guide buyers through the agreed Leptex ordering process.
  • Match sales to supply: Adjust activity when availability changes and seek approval for exceptions.
  • Review actual results: Use completed sales, fulfillment, and buyer feedback to improve performance and repeat business.
  • Use AI effectively: Improve research, sales materials, and record organization while checking important facts.

What we're looking for

  • Learning ability: You can quickly understand agricultural products, supply arrangements, and buyer needs.
  • Business development: You can recognize a useful supplier or buyer opportunity and turn it into practical action.
  • Coaching: You can set clear expectations, give specific feedback, and help others improve.
  • Communication: You can explain proposals and responsibilities clearly in English to suppliers, buyers, and colleagues.
  • Product judgment: You take harvest timing, quality, changing quantities, and fulfillment constraints seriously.
  • Analytical reasoning: You can distinguish inquiries from completed orders and use reliable records to assess results.
  • AI and platform tools: You can learn Leptex and use AI tools while checking important outputs.
  • Organization: You can work on site, coordinate several conversations, and follow through on commitments.
  • Integrity: You respect approved terms, privacy, contact preferences, and the limits of your authority.
  • Evidence of ability: Relevant work or projects can demonstrate your abilities without a particular degree, minimum number of years, or management title.

How we measure success
